The ride
Colonia del Sacramento is located in the southwest of Uruguay, on the north bank of the Río de la Plata, only 55 kilometers in a straight line from the city of Buenos Aires.
Its history transports us over time to more than 3 centuries ago... The city has a historic center declared a World Heritage Site in 1995. Its narrow stone streets and unique architecture reveal the Spanish, Portuguese and post-colonial styles.
The tour invites us to discover its art galleries, museums, workshops of artists and craftsmen. In each street we can find numerous dining options to sit down to eat something delicious or just enjoy a coffee.
The main attractions of Colonia are - among others - the old train station, the gate of the citadel, the "street of sighs", the lighthouse, the Basilica of the Blessed Sacrament, the main square, the promenade of San Gabriel, the pier at Yachts club and the bullring stadium.
